Matters might seem to have quietened down since last December - when it was announced Liza Butler brokered a deal with the CC to de amalgamate. Not so. There has been diverse activity & negotiations happening in the background, but the requirement for confidentiality and discretion prevented disclosure. If you recall the VRRA community meeting in January 2025 where Liza Butler warned us all for the need to avoid upsets; to be respectful and patient. De-amalgamation Update The decision to unwind the 2017 amalgamation is welcomed The Board of the St Georges Basin Country Club (SGBCC) announced on 24 December 2024 its intention to pursue a de-amalgamation of Country Club Vincentia, unwinding the 2017 amalgamation and allowing a vote by members on the future of the Vincentia precinct. All Golf committees are very pleased to welcome you back to Vincentia after our recent "vacation". As you may have heard a group has put a proposal to the Country Club Board to deamalgamate the former Vincentia Golf Club and reopen as a stand alone club. The Board has agreed to the proposal and now many actions have to be undertaken by the Board and the new group to prepare the necessary information to be put to a General Meeting of all CC members to agree to proceed.
